Rental Agreement
Price and Payment
The Price for the Products will be the Rental Fees, accidental damage waiver, taxes and any other associated charges detailed on the checkout page of our website in connection with your rental order. Upon placing your order for Products, you authorize us to charge your credit card for the Rental Fee. We will charge your credit card the amount of the Rental Fee immediately upon you completing your order on our website. You represent that you are authorized to use the chosen payment method (including, without limitation, credit cards) for the purpose of renting the Products as described herein. A reservation for a Product on our website is an order for the rental of that Product, no matter how far in advance the order is placed. In addition to the Rental Fee, you further authorize us to charge your credit card for any Unreturned Fee, or other damage amounts as set forth below.
Shipping & Return Delivery
Your rental order will be delivered to you using NZ Post or another courier service and will be scheduled to arrive on your selected delivery date. We can ship to any valid residence, office or hotel street address within New Zealand including PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers and Post Offices. Delivery will have been deemed to have taken place once your order has been delivered to your nominated address or a third party has accepted delivery on your behalf.
Return
To return your rental, just place all rented items into the original box with the prepaid return shipping label that was included in your order Be sure to return all rental items included in your order. If your destination event order is returned from an international country, we do not reimburse for extra shipping costs and international shipping costs. Returning your order from an international country will incur a late return fee as customs delays the return of your rental. All orders must be sent back to Suitor by or on your return date. All orders should be returned in the prepaid shipping label as provided by Suitor. We will send you a reminder on your return date but it is your sole responsibility to ensure that your order is lodged at the nearest Post Office on your return date. If you have lost the original satchel, you must purchase at your own expense packaging to send back your order. Your order will be considered returned once your order has been lodged and accepted at an New Zealand Post Office centre. We will be able to track the progress of the return of your order once it has been deposited with New Zealand Post.
Unreturned and Late Fees
Any orders that are not shipped back on your return date will be subject to late fees. Your credit card will be charged $25 per day for each day overdue. Your order will be deemed as unreturned if a full week has elapsed since your return date and the order has not lodged at an New Zealand Post Office and will be subject to unreturned fees. The Unreturned Fees for individual items are as follow: Suit Jacket $300, Suit Trousers $150. Shirt $60; Vest $80; Ties $40; Bowties $25; Belt $40.
Dry Cleaning
Suitor is solely responsible for the dry cleaning of the Garments after the Garments have been returned after the rental duration. Suitor uses experienced dry cleaners that follow the highest quality care procedures. Users agree not to attempt to clean the Garments. If the user attempts to clean the Garments and it results in permanent damage to the Garments, additional charged shall apply.
Minor Damage Guarantee
When you rent from Suitor, you are automatically covered by our Minor Damage Guarantee, which is included within the Rental Price of every order. This Guarantee covers minor damage to our Garments that can repaired through basic dry cleaning or minor tailoring. Our Guarantee covers accidental/minor damage that costs up to $25 to repair. If we determine that our garments are damaged beyond repair, or if a rental Product is not returned, you will be subject to and charged an Unreturned Fee. Alterations that are made to our garments that are unauthorised or do not follow our tailoring guide will be charged an additional fee in order to return the Garments to their original sizing and fit. Customers will be notified when they are subject to additional fees.
Tailoring & Sizing
Try on your suit/tuxedo within 24 hours of delivery. If your order doesn`t fit, Suitor has you covered with our Perfect Fit Guarantee. Here are your options: 1 You are more than welcome to get the JACKET SLEEVE AND PANT LENGTH of your suit/tuxedo altered by a tailor or local dry cleaner for a quick and seamless hem (stitched). Note: Please ensure that you specify with your tailor that the fabric of the suit/tux cannot be cut and/or removed. Additionally, alterations to the styling and fit of the suit are not permitted! 2. For sizing issues regarding the suit jacket, waist size, shirt or vest, we are more than happy to send you another size. Simply hold on to everything and return all items (even the items that don`t fit) after your special event. All Garments that have incorrect sizing or because you have changed your mind must notify Suitor within 24 hours of accepting delivery of your order, and we can send you an alternative size. If you did not select the Backup Suit Option, you will be charged $15 to get a replacement sent to you. If you selected the Backup Suit Option and neither size of suit does not fit, we will send you a replacement free of charge. The Backup Suit Option is there so you can have peace of mind and ensure the perfect fit! If we do not have an alternative size, it may be that the requested item is unavailable, as we have limited stock in each garment. In this situation, Suitor will offer you the choice of available alternatives or a full refund (subject to shipping costs).
Cancellations
If the User decides to cancel an order, then they must contact Suitor immediately. If you decide to cancel your order, fourteen (14) or more days in advance of the delivery date, there is no cancellation fee and you will receive a full refund issued to the payment card you used for the order. If you cancel less than fourteen (14) days but more than seven (7) days in advance of the delivery date, will be given the option of a credit note of the rental price to be used within 12 months or a full refund minus a $10 cancellation fee. This credit can be applied to any future hires placed within 12 months of the cancellation date. iii. If you cancel seven (7) or fewer days in advance of the delivery date, you will be given the option of a credit note of the rental price to be used within 12 months or a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. However, if the item has been prepared and sent to the User, Suitor will issue a store credit minus the shipping costs of getting your order to you. Please accept delivery of your order and send it back to us using the prepaid shipping satchel provided. We will issue you a store credit once the items have been returned to us, unworn and you will be notified via email. This store credit will be usable for 12 months from issuance.
Refund Policy
Any rented items that are returned to Suitor due to incorrect sizing or you simply changed their mind must be sent back to Suitor within 24 hours of accepting delivery. These items must be unworn (with the tags still intact). You must notify us by phone or email within 24 hours of delivery, if you notify us 24 hours after delivery you will not be eligible for a refund. Once Suitor has received your order back at our site, we will issue a full refund minus shipping costs or offer you a store credit to be used within 12 months of issuance.
COVID Policy
If we have sent out your order and it has been delivered to you and your event has been cancelled due to COVID. We will issue you with a store credit so you can get your order re-delivered for when the event is rescheduled.
Refund Processing and Timeframes
Once Suitor has received the Garments unworn and in an acceptable condition. Suitor will email you a refund request confirmation within 3 working days of receiving the returned garments. Suitor will do its best to process a refund as quickly as is possible, however the refund process can take approximately 10-20 working days dependant on the individual processing times of particular financial institutions/credit card providers and acknowledges that Suitor has no control over these processes.
Defects
You must notify Suitor (by phone or email) within 24 hours of delivery of any alleged defect, damage or failure to comply with what is ordered.
Personal Items
Suitor is not liable nor responsible for any personal items left within any of our Garments or in the shipping box. We will not refund you, nor reimburse you for any damage or the loss of any of your personal items. If you believe that you have accidentally returned a personal item to us in your shipping box, please contact us through email or via phone and provide all relevant information that would help us identify any personal items that you may have sent to us by accident. We may try to locate your personal items upon request made to us, but we are not obligated to do so. If we are able to locate your personal item(s), we will attempt to ship the items back to you at the address you have provided and will charge your credit card on file for the associated shipping costs. We will not be liable for any personal items that are damaged or lost in transit.
Limitation of Liability
The full extent of Suito`s liability to you under this agreement is governed by the Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy, as located on our website and hereby incorporated into this agreement.
